Unreal Engine 5 First Look
Unreal Engine is the advanced real-time 3D creation tool. It is a complete suite of development tools for anyone working with real-time technology. Currently we are using Unreal Engine 4 but the Unreal Engine 5 will be available in preview in early 2021, and in full release late in 2021, supporting next-generation technology which includes PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
This Unreal Engine will provide so much ease for developers and developers will be able to create high end games, programs and apps. with this engine developers will be able to provide high end details with extreme precision.
They added extra support for Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X consoles and throughout the year Unreal engine will be updating the 4.25 and will up updating with optimizations, fixes, and certification requirements.
Unreal Engine by epic games will run with the Sony PlayStation 5 or the Microsoft Xbox Series X and they will provide the true platform for enhancing its capacities.
Unreal Engine 5 focuses on two key elements- geometric precision and dynamic lighting.
Features of Unreal Engine 5
- Film quality assets with billions of triangles.
- Nanite Virtual Geometry.
- No more Polygon budgets
- No more maps
- Lumen- Full dynamic real time global illumination
- Niagara- advanced simulations with particle intercommunication
- Intelligent flocking with spatial awareness
- Animation- Predictive foot placement for high resolution environments
- seamless contextual interactions
The main two of the new core technologies that will debut in Unreal Engine 5
Nanite virtualized micropolygon geometry- Nanite focuses on increasing geometric precision in games, it means that this technology comprises of billions of polygons be directly used in unreal engine. The virtual Nanite allows artists to create as much detail as can be seen with the naked eye.Lumen is a dynamic in-game lighting processor, which will process shadows, with having very high precision in breaking down portions of rays of light that strikes a subject. It is a fully dynamic global illumination solution that immediately reacts to scene and light changes. Designers and artists can create more dynamic scenes using Lumen by changing the sun angle for time of the day, turning on a flashlight, or blowing a hole in the ceiling.
